New! - "Steppers' Alliance National Membership Online" coming soon

“Thus, the vision and birth, and mission of The Steppers’ Alliance had begun at Harris Saving & Trust Bank” Our Motto is Each One - Teach One!

During the spring of 2002, Bruce received a phone call and e-mail communication at work regarding doing a fundraiser for one of Harris Bank’s affinity groups called the African American League of Professionals (AALP’s). Upon accepting the offer to help raise funds for this organization, within minutes of the communication going out that he would be teaching “inside” the bank during lunch hour, several hundred people called to reserve their space in the class. Bruce was contracted for 6 weeks, but the sessions lasted nearly 6 months up until he decided to go into business for himself and formed The Steppers’ Alliance, Inc., in August of 2002, with the help and advise of Chief Business Council L. Christopher Chapman III, Solo Fides of Alexander, Cavanaugh & Block, LLC, a La Salle Company.

During that same period of time, Bruce was invited by Yasmin Bates, then President of Community Banking (City Region) to conduct a breakout session at an UNCF event in Grant Park. Along with NBC channel 5’s Art Norman and WGCI’s crazy Howard McGee, the Steppers’ Alliance brought the experience to thousands of men, women and children.

With overwhelming support of Harris Bank employees, it wasn’t very long before his class sizes grew to over 75 + men and women, who would travel from near and far to take classes at one of his locations throughout the city and south suburbs. Realizing that something special was developing, Bruce began to ask friends, family, students, and total strangers to assist him with a name and logo (Image) for his class.

Now, you can find The Steppers’ Alliance performing and teaching steppin lessons at events sponsored by such organizations as the UNCF Run, Walk, Stake, & Bike a – thon in Grant Park, the NAACP Holiday gala’s, the 100 Black Men Toy and Coat Drive, the National Association of Guardsmen black tie gala’s, the Chicago Tribune’s (NiE) teachers workshop, and many others.

In July of 2005, The Steppers' Alliance released their "First - Edition" Steppin' Instructional DVD titled "Do U Step?" Volume 2 is coming to a location near you very soon.

The Steppers’ Alliance has extended their vision on the road to such places as Phoenix, Arizona, Los Angeles, California, Winston - Salem North Carolina, Milwaukee, Wisconson, Tulsa, Oklahoma, Indianpolis, Indiana, Seattle, Washington, Baltimore, Maryland, Washington, D.C., the Island of Bermuda, just to name a few.
